The best
we can hope for is that you bought Complete Care, in which case, just call Dell and they'll arrange for a new one to be shipped to you.
If you
didn't purchase it, then the best thing
you could do FIRST....is remove the battery(s) --{you don't say which model you have]--.
Since it wasn't a "spill" and more of a "seepage", it's probable that it just got sucked into the screen layers by capillary action and didn't get down deeper into the electronics.
This is good
and bad, in that probably no electronic damage was done......
but..........getting water out from between the layers of the screen can be very difficult.....here's my suggestion.
Prop the Axim up on edge and put it on top of your TV or Monitor (something that puts out warm, dry air 24/7). Leave it there for one day
past any visual signs of moisture in the screen.
Depending on how much is there, the initial drying could take 2 to 7 days! Taking it apart
might help, but not necessarily so.......the water is
between the layers, so taking the screen out probably won't really speed the process up.
What it
will do is void your warranty, which if the drying process works......won't.
