Serial port on AXIM X30 ???

Hello !
I wonder if there is a serial port included on the bottom connector of the Axim X30 (it seels that there is one on the Axim X5).
I can see on DELL site that no serial cable is available for this model.
Is it right ?
I want to connect a GPS receiver with a serial connection.

Well, I just ordered an Axim X5 Performance today; in fact it's the best choice for me because of its ports (USB/serial/SD/CF).

I hope that you're not thinking that you're getting USB and Serial Ports on an Axim.............'cause that's not what you're getting.

You can ActiveSync your Axim to a PC using a USB and/or Serial connector/cable........BUT.....these are NOT Ports to communicate with other devices.

You can get Dedicated Serial GPS-to-Axim cables and Dedicated Cell Phone Cables and a CF USB Host Card, but straight from the Axim to "Standard" USB/Serial devices won't fly.

hey the serial/USB is the types of cables for the cradle to the PC, not on the X5 itself

I also have the same idea. Would you please share your experience after your test? I may also want to try a serial terminal console of a linux box.

Yes, ALL X30's have a serial INTERFACE. Yes, you can connect a serial GPS to this. Good luck.
