it keeps keeping it on! What is very odd is when the wifi is on and it is off, it is fully accessible from the computer, you can sync it, you can browse the files and everything! it is very very odd!

Go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Brightness and make sure that you have the option "light/dim display using power button" disabled. It seems that this might be the cause of your troubles ... And don't forget to do a soft reset after changing this option in order to activate it

If you're talking about while your Ax is synced with a cable or cradle look for a desktop program called kill activesync. That way you can really turn the stinker off and it won't try to reconnect until you turn Activesync back on on your PC. If you're talking about around midnight well PPC's turn on for a few seconds around then to prepare for the new day regardless of if your connected or not. I know there's a problem if WMP4PPC is still running at that time but this is the first time I've heard of WiFi turning on because of it.

This looks a bit like the infamous dim screen problem that several people have encountered here. If it is, you may need to call up Dell and ask for a replacement since this would be a hardware problem ...

it still on, but you dont know! to test it have the middle thing in the today screen selected, then when your PPC does it, use the up or down arrows to move, then turn your PPC back on the highlight will move the way you pressed the arrow when it was off!

Is this just my unit or is everyone just barely able to see the "Light/dim display using power button" text and checkbox which is almost totally covered by the "Brightness", "Battery Power", & "External Power" tabs at the bottom of this window?
