Battery Charging Problem

I think i might've failed in charging the battery for 8hr the first time - after I got my Axim yesterday, I put the battery in, turn it on then turn it off, plug in the power adapter and started charging. However, about 3 hours later, I found out that the screen was on - appearently I didn't shut down the PDA properly. I then used it a bit and put it on an overnight charge.
This morning I checked the battery it is 100%. But when I unplugged the power adaptor, the battery only shows 98% :(
Also, if on the battery info said the internal battery, does that mean it's charged?

Anyone knows what's going on? I'd appreciate your help.

I believe it's normal to go down 1-2% after you unplugged the power...

Don't worry about it.

so most of you guy's battery dropped like 1%-2% the second you unplugged the power adaptor or took it out of the cradle? When I unplugged the power adaptor and plug it back after a few seconds, the battery is charging again.....

Yep it does that, if you remove it and dock instantly again it will go on charge for a bit.

Don'y wory about it, the important bit for battery life is to initially charge is for a long time (though even a little stop and restart shouldn;t matter for li batterys)..

Do a real world test and compare it with other is you feel paranoid ;-)

Heh don't worry. Its perfectly normal. I really didn't charge mine properly (heh used it while it was charging) and it works perfectly fine.

I got mine today and threw it in the charger, after about 3 hours I noticed the LED was green. Turned it on an off again and it charged for a little while longer but didn't go the 8 hours.

Mine did the same. But when I took it off, it went red again and then green after a bit. did it again too. Does that just mean it is amped up and ready? either way it'll sit till the am ;)
