Initial Charge Problem

I have just got my Axim, put it in cradle to charge (battery with the axim and extended battery in the 2nd slot) I don't think the power button on the Axim ever turned amber, it's solid green now, I have no idea if it ever charged the battery. My spare battery though indicates it's still charging... Hmm, so what happened?

how long it takes?
I took about 3 hours to completely charge the spare battery (turn green)

I know, i don't think the power button ever turned amber, i just remembered it being green since i plug it in the first time...

maybe you just couldn't see it because the room was well lit.

I mean I could tell between Amber and Green, I remember it being Green all the way. Well, i guess i will wait til it finish "charging" and see what happens, hope nothing is broken... Is the internal power properties that tells you the battery information correct? I hope it says 100% after the 8 hours... My spare battery is charged up though, I am just afraid that the unit won't charge on the cradle...

Same here, though I just receive a resealed X3i from auction. The smaller battery was already in place. Put the unit in the cradle, the light turned amber (did turn the unit on for a split second). Turned around 2 hrs later and the light had turned green (the documentation says to charge for 4 hrs first). I thought that was it but the power meter says only 90% charged. So I quickly turn it off and put it back in.

The same for the larger backup battery, though the light seems to turn green earlier. The power meter also said 80% full. So back it go too.

Am I doing something wrong?

Please advise.
