Power Consumption on X30 high

I have a x30 high. When I run my pda in the power saver mode I have no trouble. But when I flip the PDA to max performance my battery drains even when turned off. With everything turned off my battery went from 93% to 81% in 1 hour. On powersave it drops less then 1%.

Anyone else have this problem?

It's not a problem, it's life. That's what you get for getting the fastest Pocket PC out there...;)

I know it uses more power with the higher speed, but the battery droping over 12% with the PDA off?

Well that part might not be too normal. Did you fully charge it for 8 hours initially without interupting it?

Hmmm...I'm not sure then. You could try a new battery. ;)

Or I might have a bad PDA. Does this happen to anyone else. Who is running their PDA on Max performance?

My drains more on Max Performance when off than when on Auto/Powersave when off. But I'm not sure if that much. Plus I generally use my 1800 mAh batter.

Thanks - I am using a 2000 mAH battery and it drains quickly. My fear is that it drains the battery overnight. I will have to run some additional test.

You shouldn't get any battery drain when turned off, maybe 1% in a 24 hour period. Are you sure you are turning it off? Tapping power button turns it off, holding the power button just turns off the screen backlight but the unit is still running operations.

Yes - I do turn the screen off, but that was a great thought. I might try a hard reset to see if that fixes the problem.

It becomes much when you find out it low itself down 416Mhz to 208Mhz in powersave

this is so true, is only suppost to drain about 1% not 10% or 15%. there most be something wrong with the PDA i have 3 950mha Battery and none of them drain like that. even when in max.

I dont know how many of you have read the resent Reviews of the X30 H but this people claim to get 4-6 HR from a normal 950mha battery.

please can somone just take a look and look google X30 reviews and u will c what im talking about
