I have seen this before and it was fixed by installing Storage Tools form www.downloads.com and format the SD card.

Yes, and you more than likely have a SanDisk card, which can be bad news. Pocket Mechanic can format SD cards as well. Good luck with that card . . .

You can also use Flash Format. I don't see a point in defraging a flash memory though (because it should access all files inside at the same speed no matter where it is, unlike microdrives and harddrives)

I agree, you would only need to defrag the SD card. I don't even do that, I just copy the contents of my SD card to my PC card via a card reader, delete everything on the card, and then copy everything back. Faster than defragging, and it does the same thing . . .

If you can, I would return it to Dell and get a card from another manufacturer.

I do the same but sometime it is just easier to tell users to defrag.

Storage Tools will fix that in a sec. Simply "scan" and "fix all errors" and "defrag" and you'll be fine.

Now why isn't a great proggie like this included with Windows Mobile 2003?!?!?

Storage Tools is a very nice app. SKTools has SD card utilities as well.
