Lost all programs - Help!

Hi, Im a newbie.

I loaded Sbp plus this evening and then decided to unload it. However, I must have made a mistake. Now, none of my buttons will work, the start menu is empty (no program names appear, the program submenu is also empty and when I try to Sync the software on my PC system doesnt recognize the X30 (comes up with the name Guest). So I think I deleted everything.

Does anyone know how I can set/load the X30 back to its factory default software settings? Proir to this it was working like a charm...

What exactly did you do to unload it? Did you use the remove programs application? Sounds almost like you did a hard reset.

To get it to the way it was when you first got it, do a hard reset: hold down power button and push your stylus in the soft reset hole at the back at the same time. Follow the screen prompts.

Thank you so much. The hard reset did the trick. I feel very relieved.

The X30 has now defaulted to its default name. Is there a way that I can change it?

Tap on: Start > Settings > About > Device ID tab

Thanks for your help Gigi. I could have wasted hours trying to figure out how to undo my mistake. Im very relieved to have the X30 working again.

BTW: Ive been reading Aximsite over the last couple of months while I contemplated my X30 purchase (my last PDA was a Palm V). Im really grateful for the support and information provided by the site.
