Cannot connect to PC

Just bought my X30. Loaded ActiveSync and Outlook on my PC (Windows XP). Followed the instructions of the connect wizard and tried to connect X30 through USB, but the moment I put the X30 on the cradle it appears to be momentarily connected (a small computer symbol appears at the bottom right of the screen). Immediately after that it dissapears. ActiveSYnc on the PC tries to connect but never does..(It says CONNECTING).
What is wrong?

Did you connect your USB cradle before installing ASync?

If so:

Disconnect your USB cradle > Uninstall ASync > Reboot your PC > Reinstall ASync > Reboot your PC > THEN Connect your USB cradle > THEN Insert your Axim and establish a Partnership.
