Destinator 3 Install probs with X30 A50 rom
Hey guys,

I just recently got the X30 mid and I have just updated to the latest rom and I just got my GlobalSat BT318 so I wanted to install Destinator 3, but when I load up the install CD but when I click on any of the target device options ie: storage card or main memory, I get a pop up error saying:

unknown device processor type. 2577 or OS(3421)

Does anyone have the same problem as me? Or have you had any luck with Destinator 3 with your X30 and even after the updated rom? Is there a patch for this or does anyone know what the issue is? Thanks for all the help.

locate the following file.
C:\DestinatorApps\Australia\ConsAU\Default.ini

search for the following section
[Platforms]

P4000V330=MIPS

P10003V330=SH3
P2577V3420=ARM << change to P2577V3421=ARM

I too have a Dell X30 and have bought the BT-318 but the X30 cannot seem to register the connection when using the GPS Info utility. I don't think the two are compatible. How did you manage in the end, did you manage to get the two talking to eachother and get position....??? I am considering taking mine (BT-318) back.....???

I have an X30/BT-318/Destinator 3 and they work fine together.

Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on on the x30 (right side square button) and the Bluetooth icon should be blue, blue light on in antenna. Tap the bluetooth icon, select Bluetooth Manager. Turn on the GPS Receiver then in the Bluetooth Manager, tap NEW, then scroll down the list and tap "Explore a Bluetooth Device" . It should quickly find the BT-318. Tap the BT-GPSxxx item in the list, then tap it again in the Service Selection screen, then tap Next. Then Tap Finish. Now it should appear in the bluetooth manager when you tap it. Tap it now and it should connect to your GPS. BTW, Once you set up the receiver in Destinator, it will automatically connect when you start the app.

If this doesn't work you may have a defective device.

Hope this helps!
