Question about x30H battery life when it is idle
I am charging my x30H at the moment.....
I have not had it on all day since I was doing other work
I came in this evening only to find it had gone into sleep mode...scared me for a moment since I could not easily get it started!

Does anyone have any feedback on how long it takes to get from fully charged (with a good battery conditioned properly at the very beginning of service) to critically low when nothing is running (program wise) except what power goes to mainttaining the memory ....?

I was wondering how many charge recharrge cycles these Li Ion batteries can take...it should be a rather large number of cycles if memory serves....Perhaps when I put it away in its case I iaccidently pressured the power button (I am looking into new cases but do not have one just yet).....Please let me know what you think....

The battery must be charged for 8 hours because the first charge generate a chemical reaction with the power going through the battery. All the chemicals to keep the charge on to 100%, need to disolve to create this environment. If you unplug the Axim prior to the 8 hour target you will have a battery that will last 2 hours in constant usage when it could have been 3 hours. You also need this time for the backup battery to fully charge and give you top performance when you really need it. The Li-ion battery likes to be charging and many charges do not affect its efficiency or durability.

I followed instructions to the letter in light of my knowing all the details you mentioned above.... I think it is possible that my current case isnt quite study enough to resist pressures that may have activated the "on" button when I put the axim away...I am looking to find a good case (I might go with Sena if it prevents accidental "button pushing") Any feedback from Sena users welcome!

I have a metal Innocase as I travel and put pressure to the unit a lot. The case is very good for what I use it for.
