Question SD Memory full?

My Axim X30 is reading my storage card memory as full when is not. A check with a prog like MemMaid, shows my storage card as only 90Mb used which is right. I've checked with file explorer and find files (larger than 64Kb), nothing seems out of sorts. How can I make it read correctly. I have soft and semi hard reset multiple times and I'm using SanDisk from Dell

Try to format your SD card.

I would like to be able to fix the "problem", not format and re- enter or reinstall all the information that is stored.

Do you have a card reader hooked to a PC that could be used to see the space available and maybe correct things. You can also copy all the data to a PC from the PPC, reformat and copy back to the SD card.

I had the same problem the other day. Not only was my SD full my normal memory was low.

I did a soft-reset and the problem went away. I haven't found the culprit yet...Since PPC never really shuts down my suspicion is that every so often you must do soft-reset. Just like with Windows desktop where If you keep your PC runnining all the time eventually it gets hosed and you must shut it down so it clears memory.

It's possible that the File Allocation Table (FAT) is damaged on the card.

Is it a Sandisk card?

If you have a card reader, there is a free progam for PC called Handy Recover that may help. V1 is freeware.
