Turning on BT while leaving Wifi off
By default, pressing the wireless button will turn on BOTH wifi and BT. Silentknight has that cool program that will enable and disable wifi, leaving BT alone.
But...what about enabling and disabling BT, while leaving wifi alone? For BT GPS users, how do you deal with this? How are you able to enable BT while leaving wifi disabled? Or do you just allow both wifi and BT to run? Doesn't this drain on the battery twice as much?

im also extremely interested in this. i use a bluetooth keyboard most of the time, but usually dont have a use for wifi at the same time. for me its a waste of battery.
the only way i know how to do it is just click on the BT logo at the bottom of the screen. which isnt too bad, but it would be nice to just hit the button on the side and just have BT turn on.

ummm......
Maybe it's just me but my X30H has like...a little bluetooth icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, and I can just tap it and select "Turn Bluetooth ON" from the menu that appears. WiFi is not enabled when I do this. Can you guy not do the same thing?

Sure, but some people want to be able to do it more rapidly by just pressing a button. No need for 2 clicks when 1 button can do it.

press the wireless button and then got to either bt or wifi and switch it off manually. now you can use just one. and when you press the wireless button next it should switch on just the last one you used (either bt or wifi)
like i said this works for me try it nad let me know if it works for you too

As I have posted and others have confirmed some x30 devices are not working with this. I and one other person are not able to get this to work with one push of the button. On my device the BT Dialogue page opens just as it would when you tap the icon in the system tray on the today screen. I see no advantage to using this. if it is supposed to enable BT with one push it doens't on my device.

I would like to use both, wi-fi and BT keyboard,But this really limits the wi-fi range.
I activate either my BT OR wi-fi then when i start up again its running alone. Depending if im on line via wi-fi or GPRS phone.
Otherwise i activate the wireless and with 2 clicks for BT and 3 for wi-fi shut one down. Its still very fast, but i agree it would be better if they were seperate.
I dont like the new Dells nearly as much as my X30 im happy with my screen and battery life?? But do the new X50s have seperate BT and wi-fi?
