Nokia 6230, Bluetooth Headset & Dell Axim X30

Hi,

I have the following 3 items on hand;

Nokia 6230 Bluetooth Mobile
Nokia Bluetooth Headset
Dell Axim X30 624Mhz Model

After looking around the forums, I managed to come across a piece of Software called Running Voice GSM which enables me to Dial via my X30 and also send SMS.

But I cannot seem to get all 3 pieces of hardware to work together, It seems that there software only works for phones which are about 3 yrs old such as the T68. I managed to the program to dial via Bluetooth (Having to setup Bluetooth Dial-Up Network first) and IRDA without using the headset, but the minute I connect my BT headset and then try, it wont connect. It works if u use the BT Headset to the phone then use IRDA from PDA to Phone, which I find extremely pointless.

Some say that Nokia only allows 1 simultaneous BT connection at a time which totally sux balls..

Does anyone have any suggestions or know a fix to the problem

Sorry to raise a dead thread, but I believe such is the case. I try to hook my headset, nokia and laptop up or axim x30 and that happens.

Multiple BT links to phone doesn't work for Motorola either

Same story with an X50v, a Motorola V551 phone, and a Motorola HS850 bluetooth headset. You can connect the phone to the headset OR the PDA, but not both at the same time. Very disappointing.

I thought that perhaps the problem is that both the PDA (when used for dialing) and the headset want to use the same "hands free" BT profile. But I discovered I can't use the file exchange profile while the headset is connected either.

By the way, Outlook Contacts have a selection on the pop-up menu to "dial via bluetooth", so you don't need additional software.

Oh, and a quick review of the Motorola phone - - my previous Nokia and Sony Erricson phones had way better menus, more readable screens, and were easier to operate. The Moto has the best physical design of the three, the just need software engineers that understand human factors better.
