Hello,
I am having problems with my X30. I seems to work fine but sometimes when I go to turn it on it comes on but is stuck. This seems to coincide with reminders being listed - the time is right therefore I assume it's running but I can't input via. either the screen or the buttons. I end up doing a soft reset. It seems fine otherwise. Any ideas? I'm running some basic apps (trying to isolate which might be the problem) - Pocket Informant, Pocket Breeze, and WizBar.

I occasionally have to do a soft reset on my x30 as I'm sure most owners do. This is Windows afterall. "Reboots" just come w/ the OS. The problem could also be the program. Is it a 3rd party program or one of the built-in progs?
Make sure you have a current backup of your files and programs. Do a soft reset to see if it fixes your problem. You can try to hard reset but to say no to the question Clear all data. Your last resort would be to hard reset, clear the data and restore from the backup. Good luck.

That's odd... maybe "duplicate reminders" are causing the problem. I seem to run into problems with duplicate reminders which bug me to no end. Try using a cleaning utility like MemMaid to ferret out the duplicates or just Soft Reset and see if that helps you.
Good luck. :approve:

My system finally when south and required a hard reset. After this everything is back to normal. Oh well - not sure what was the problem as reminders still pop up but now seem to function.

Ok,
I'm back with the same problem. For a short time all was great - now the 'reminder problem' is back. I've got very little installed - Informant, Breeze, Magic Buttons. I've turned off magic buttons no better. Unit can be turned on and off but I can't acknowledge the reminders or go any further without a soft reset. I't seems to be gettnig worse. Can a soft reset corrupt memory like a crash in standard Windows? Any one with ideas, help is greatly appreciated. I've run the Dell diagnostics, all passes.
Hmm, on mine i NEVER have to reset. I tihnk its a software issue, incompatibilities. I have the basics, scrabble monopoly, ms money, betaplayer, wisbar, lots of music and a couple of movies. Couple other minor things, everything works fine 100% of the time. Check your software setup.
