Black screen, then asks to erase memory!

Okay, so every once and a while my screen goes black, then it asks me to push one bitton to delete memory, or press another to cancel. I'm pretty sure it's a battery problem. I cleaned the contacts already. It's much worse when it's in my peil case or the stock dell case, all I have to do is barely touch the back of it and it happens. Tried a different main battery too. Any ideas? Not under warrenty BTW.
Thanks! I really appreciate any help!

Try taping the battery cover in place. Can't hurt, might work!

You mean the backup battery or the main battery? Also, if you do mean the backup, where is it located?
