X30 & DI-514 WiFi problem

I apologize if this has been addressed before.

I just got an X30 and I want ot use it on my home WiFi Network. I have a D-Link DI-514 router, with SSID broadcasting, MAC filter off, WEP off, DHCP Server enabled. I went through the WiFi setup on my X30 per the WiFi 101 page, including shutting off power management. It recognizes my wireless router and seems to connect, but I cannot access PIE or WIM. Can someone help me?

Are you getting a 192.168.0.x IP number assigned to your Axim?

When you say you cannot access PIE, do you mean you get the "Page not found" message?

I had this same router and the same problems, however I found out I could get on other wifi networks with no problems. What I ended up doing was getting rid of the D-Link and getting a different brand. After that no problems. The one I bought was a Belkin, but I know other members have had good luck with Linksys. I've seen alot of posts on here about troubles connecting with D-Link routers.

I don't know if I am getting closer, but I tried to ping the other computers on my network and it was not able to connect.

I don't know how my fortune was such that I ended up with the most buggy router in history (DI-514), but I'll only add that I've had the least problems with the 1.00 firmware. Their "updates" make things worse (1.02,1.03). Axim and Nortel Contivity don't work at all with those latter wares unless I turn off WEP.

I guess I may have to replace the router. IT is just frustrating to see the router work with evertying else and not the X30. I upgraded to firmware 1.03 for version B1 and nothing changed. For the people that have DI-514 working, can I get the exact settings for X30 and DI-514 so I can try yot replicate them to see if it works?

do you have rom version a05 on your x30? it is the lastest rom and supposedly has fixed compatibility issues with some routers. i made no changes at all to my x30 for wifi, while on my DI-514 i left mac filtering off, 64bit wep on, no wpa or whatever, ssid broadcast on, and thats prettey much all i can think of. i have had no problems with the router except about every few weeks i have to unplug the router then plug it back in becuase it won't allow my x30 or my dads laptop to connect. for me it was a good deal as it was only $9.99 after rebates at Best Buy when i bought it...

It finally worked! Here is the strange part. I did not change with my router or X30 setting. I went into My Network places and setup a home network. Go figure.
