Trying to rip CDs to my x30

I can rip a CD to my pda but each song is about 34 megs. If I use WMP, it syncs and transfers but I get a message that the media is not compatible....much smaller size, like about 4.5 megs. I have a 128 Meg card which should hold enough music to get me by for awhile.

Thanks

You didn't ask a question.
But if I get what you're asking, try going to www.download.com and installing cdex to your computer. It's a good ripping program with lots of settings. Hope that helps.

I see that I didn't ask a question. I did finally get Windows Media Player to work, but it was not easy. I will check out your suggestion. I have found lots of good stuff at downloads.com.

Thanks again,

I use EZCDAExtractor and rip cds to wma 96kbps, they sound good on the ax and you just put them in a my doucuments folder on the ax using active sync.

Why not just use Windows Media Player (on PC) to rip to WMA?

Better, yet...do a google for Media Monkey- rip to ogg vorbis (you will also need the free codec for your desktop) and each song is about 1.5mg- with ALL the quality!! Most players will play ogg- I know betaplayer, gsplayer, mort player, and pocket player will. ~Anne
