Program frozen on??!!!! Help

My x30 is frozen on with what I assume is a game running in the background (the screen is off but the music won't stop!)... I can get to the "running programs" page but it says Firefly is the one that is still running and frozen - it won't turn off even when I tell it to stop all programs. Turning the thing on and off doesn't do anything.

Will I lose my memory if I remove the battery? I don't know what to do. :rolling:

Try a soft reset.

look at the back of the axim...you're looking for a little hole..insert the stylus into that hole and hold for 2 seconds....your axim will reboot and no data will be lost.

whew, man, finally I got it to stop!!! I was thinking I was going to end up having to dump everything.

I did remove the game program... it still didn't stop b/c part of it was running... I played around with syncing it to my desktop and it finally quit... I won't be upset if I NEVER hear that music again!

Thanks for the help above..

Wow! Sounds like a typical Windows running machine doesn't it? Whenever your desktop locks up an you have to do a CTL+ALT+DEL an end program!!!

A possible related program is that the screen is frozen. I used to carry my 3i in a softcase in my pants pocket. I returned 3 PDA's to Dell because the screens would freeze and require numerous taps, soft starts, screen aligns and occasional hard starts to reactivate the screen. I switched to a hard case and the problems disappeared. The soft case was allowing pressure to be applied against the screen and causing the problem.

Glad you solved the problem, what program, or game was it that was causing the problem?

A soft reset is pushing in the small button in the back with your stylis, for a sec and will restart your Axim with no program loss, and a Hard reset for Ex.X50 models, is the above while holding the powerbutton at the same time for about 2 sec's,but will cause you to lose everything you installed in Ram,think of it as starting factory fresh with your new Axim,as in when you first took it out of the box, check your manual for your paticular model on how to perform a Hard and soft reset:approve:
