x30 can't keep time or date

I have had my Dell Axim for a couple of weeks now. Since I bought it it hasn't been able to keep the time or date correct. Just now I checked the time, which I reset yesterday, and it's off by 8 hours. The date seems to jump forward a day at random also.

Looking over other posts I saw that someone else was advised to check the time and date on their desktop. I've done that - it's correct. Any other thoughts?

Check the timezones on BOTH the PC and the Axim.

You git it. The time zone on the desktop was set to US Pacific and the Axim was set to GMT where I live now. Funny the display on the toolbar clock on my desktop was right. I guess someone in my family reset the clock to the right time but didn't bother to reset the time zone. Thanks!

I guess the only time you had the problem was after you had synced to your desktop Glad it works for you now:approve:

I have a problem with the time setting on the axim....I keep it plugged in most of the time (AC power) and in the course of a few days the clock loses up to about 20 minutes. I do not sync it with anything such a a desktop, so why cant this unit keep the time correctly? (the date is unaffected)

TIA
David

Check not only the date but also the time zone setting. Make sure that the time zone and set in the Axim matches the time zone in the computer.
