power button doesn't really turn off

Sometimes when I press the power button, my axim doesn't really turn off. The wifi and bluetooth LED's stay on even though the screen turns off. This is a problem because I think it continues to drain the battery. I can solve this problem by doing a soft-reset but I don't know what causes it. Anyone else experience this?

I've found that if I have an active Activesync connection I've seen that behaviour. If I disconnect my Activesync connection first and then turn it off it's flawless.

I don't know if that's the same issue you have, but see if it has an active activesync connection at the time.

When you press and hold the power button, you may be just turning off the backlight and not powering off. Try pressing and not holding as long and see if that helps.

BTW, welcome to Aximsite!

Yep, your right the power button does not turn it off. In fact it is never "off" just standby. Like Gigi said, more then likely you are holding the button to long. One quick tap puts it in standby, a longer hold will just turn off the backlight and depending on the lighting conditions this can look like it is "off" or in standby. Good Luck~
