played with oddessy and now no wifi
I've had my X30 for a while now and have had no problems connecting to my wrt54g or other hotspots. I was sitting around playing with oddessy (I usually use the DEll WLAN utility) and now I can't connect at home. I've disabled oddessy and have turned off the encryption on the router and it did not help. The dell wlan utility says searching ( it seems stuck on channel 10) and if I go to edit wireless profiles I can see my home network but if I connect, nothing happens. Looking at the DHCP clients table on my router it is not showing up. Furthermore if I do to avanced/network trobleshooting its not getting assigned an IP address and hitting "repair" gets me the "no wiresless connection was established, a new IP address was not requested"
The funny thing is that the green light for the wifi is flashing but the connectivity icon next to the speaker icon never gets the "halo" that I usually see when its connecting to a network. I've tuned on/off/on the power management with no help so I think that its likely the network adapter but I don't recall which oneI used previously. I've tried all of the different network adapters but none seem to connect
I've also tried two soft resets with no help and really want to avoid a hard reset if possible. I'm thinking that there is something wrong with the wireless adapter but I'm not sure how to fix it.
