Axim X30 colors messed up
I purchased an Axim X30 about a month ago, and recently had to send it back because it stopped working. Dell sent me a replacement, which was apparently a "refurbished" model, and all of the colors on the display are messed up. (Reds show up as a kind of sea-green, blues show up as purplish, and greens show up as yellows; something is wrong with all the RGB components) I tried everything to fix this problem, including doing soft and hard resets, upgrading the O.S. (the replacement came with an older version of the O.S., even though the brand-new one I purchased a month ago had a completely up-to-date O.S.), etc. All to no avail. Is there a color 'control panel' or something I can use to adjust the system colors? I will probably send it back, but maybe there is something I can do on the software side to work around this problem.

Welcome to the site!

If the colors are messed up then it is most likely a hardware issue that you would not be able to resolve with an application adjustment. Get in touch with Dell right away for a replacement.

That is correct that they can send you a refurbished unit even if your unit is new. The only way to get a brand new one is if it is not more than 21 days and you send it back for a full refund and purchase a new one. Dell outlines this in the warranty coverage.

Yep, hardware. Most likely problem is a mis-inserted ribbon cable. Send it back!
