Generic Bluetooth HID keyboard?

Is there any way to get my standard HID compliant (Apple) Bluetooth keyboard working with my Dell Axim?

Try FrogPad's HID2GO Software. It worked with my Logitech BT keyboard.

Link to directory with support documents and installer:

http://www.cc2go.net/frogpad/hid2go/PPC2003WDCM/

Download "HID2GO_WDCM_PPC2003_4.12.zip"

I'd suggest you backup before you try it. Good luck! Let us know if it works for you!

This sounds quite interesting could you please elaborate a bit?
Since it's hard finding a PDA BT keyboard with Swedish characters I may be able to use a regular BT keyboard even if it's bigger.

A few questions...

1: What Axim model are you using, X30H?

2: What ROM version do you have?

IF your device uses Broadcom bluetooth software download and update your bluetooth stack to 1.6. It adds 2 new profiles, bluetooth keyboard and A2DP Headset. The new bluetooth keyboard profile should work with any standard HID complient Bluetooth Keyboard.

Axim X30H with the A07 ROM. I was using the A06 ROM with it before, too.

The software is pretty easy to use, there are a few quirks here and there though.

1) I get a lot of double characters. I don't know if this is software, keyboard, or user-related. I don't get double characters while using the same BT keyboard with my desktop PC though.

2) The arrow keys occasionally stop working, but this is easily remedied by tapping the Control key. However, the same thing happens when my X30H is connected to my Dell Foldable keyboard, so I believe it's a problem with the Axim.

3) You have to reconnect everytime you use your keyboard with the device. (It may be this way with every BT device with the Axim though, this is the only one I use.)

Post again if you decide to try it and how it works for you - post your keyboard type, too!

I realised that I've actually been using this software, albeit older versions, since ROM A02. You should be fine to try it with A05.

Where can I get this stuff now?

I have scoured the net (with Google and Yahoo) for HID2GO_WDCM_PPC2003_4.12.zip and it cannot be found. cc2go have long disappeared off the face of the planet, and other HID keyboard software does not seem to work - including that which came packaged with this thumb-board. I really hope someone here has HID Keyboard DLL's that can be used with an X30.
