Need help finding 2 things...help

So first, where can I get a serial cable that will plug directly into the bottom of my x3. I need this to connect to my car.
Secondly, Is there any type of adapter to get my x3 on a lan. I can't check my personal mail at work and I want to be able to plug my x3 into our outside cable line we have just to check a few quick emails.

Thanks for the help.

I did a search but only found rj45 to compact flash cards but my x3 doesn't use CF.

I'm not really understanding the serial cable connected to your car, but you can find a whole lot of serial stuff at www.gomadic.com .

You should be able to get an sdio wifi card. I don't think they make hardwired sdio ethernet cards.

My x3 has wifi built in, but I'm looking for a wired "hard" connection.

I understand that you want wired, but it may not be available.
Why not a travel Wlan router that you can connect to your wired ethernet so you can connect the x3 that way.

You might possibly find something on gomadic that will connect between your port at the bottom and some sort of ethernet card, but I don't think you'll have any luck with an sdio ethernet card.

If I was to go this route, do they make any pocket routers that are self powered or battery powered? Something that doesn't require the typical wall outlet

What if you were to use a serial adapter then use a db9 to rj45 ethernet adapter? Anyone try that yet? Or anyone know what the pin out would have to be?

Actually I also need some stuff;

This will sound strange but I am looking for the "fake" sdcard that came with the Axim and the little plastic thing around the battery that was in the box. any ideas?

for the money for the blank card you can just buy a small sd card. something like a 256 or 512mb for $5-$10
