Mp3s will not play sequentially!

I have an X30.
When I try to play an album [mp3s], it stops after each track and will not play the next one.
I have to take the thing out of my pocket, close "media player" and go to "file explorer" > memory card > album folder > track number to start the next track. It then plays that track and stops = so I have to take it out of my pocket......... etc etc!

I've tried re-installing Windows Media Player. I've even installed something called "Sompy Media Player" which does exactly the same thing.

Is there something very basic and simple that I'm missing here? Or is this just how the Axim plays its music files????

Can anyone advise

Jimmy

Try the free player TCPMP click here

Edit. it sounds like you are playing your tracks from File explorer when you should be playing them from the media player.
Open WMP, go to menu in library, select add to to library. then choose the album you want to play from there.

Thanks very much BOX for your prompt reply. It works!!!:approve: the sequence is:
Open WMP >Menu >Library >Menu >Update Library

I am now happily listening to my music and my PPC is safely in my Pocket!!

I knew it must be something as simple as that! I bought the X30 2nd hand so I don't have a hand-book.

Thanks again

Jimmy:)

Can you see a list of MP3 files in the window for WMP? If not, you need to load them like Box says, then it plays sequentially.
You can also check to make sure there is no setting to only play a single song or something. (I use GSPlayer)

and WMP uses track numbers in the ID3 (in the file itself) to populate album and track metedata
