Case recommendation for X3i?

Hello,

I decided to dip my toes in the PDA waters and try out a used Axim X3i. Originally I'd intended to use it for GPS navigation but it appears I picked the wrong model, no bluetooth and no compact flash. Oh well, that's what SDIO is for. I'll take that into account when I eventually get a new model.

Anyway, I'd love to be able to protect my PDA and still use the Dell cradle and the GPS cradle in my car. I suppose that means I need to be able to take it out of the case easily. I'd also like to carry it on a belt clip.

It came with a rhino skin, but it's not exactly easy to get it in and out of that.

Sena is great for convenience. It does not protect the bottom corners very well, but you can dock and sync your device while it still is in the case. I can't speak to whether or not the case interferes with a car mount though.

DELL AXIM X3/X3i/X30 CASES

Edit: After looking at the Sena site, the X3 case may not allow for docking. I was speaking from the perspecitve of an X50 case.

I don't think a x3i in a sena case will fit in a car mount especially if it's a belt clip case.
However I would still recommend a sena case. It should be easy to slip the x3i in and out of the sena case especially when the case is broken in.

I Also Recommend Sena

I would also recommend the Sena case, though you can only sync/charge via cable on the X3i. Sena does not add much bulk to the unit, the magnetic closure on the flip cover is by far the most convenient possible, and it is quite easy to remove the unit from the case. And the quality and construction is first-class.
