Question Wireless Keyboards

I'm looking for wireless keyboards and see that there are bluetooth and IR types. Which is more preferable?

I may opt for the PalmOne Universal Keyboard but am not sure if that's compatible with my Axim x30. There's also an IGO bluetooth I'm keeping my eye on.

Any recommendations guys?

Thanks!

The bluetooth keyboards work very nicely--the only disadvantage they have is that they can't be used in flight on airplanes. I have an old ThinkOutside keyboard and it is wonderful; it is the ancestor of the iGo keyboards, and I'd highly recommend it.

You might search the threads here for other recommendations. There are even some newer keyboards that use beams of light on a flat surface, if you find that useful.

I went ahead and got me the Dell D2704 folding keyboard! It doesn't need batteries or fiddling around with mirrors. It connects right to the jack on the bottom of the Axim :)

I'm very pleased.

Excellent--that's great. Having a keyboard makes the Axim even more versatile and useful. Have fun!

What kind of effect does it have on battery life

I'm not sure yet but it has an external power jack. You can charge and use your Axim at the same time without worrying about battery life.

I have a palm wireless keyboard that I would like to use with my recently acquired x30. Is there some specific MS or other software necessary. It works fine with the old palm but not with the x30.
