I looked on the Sam's Club website and couldn't find the 256 mb one. (I found the 128 mb one for $43.87 online at samsclub.com)

Did you find the 256 mb in the store?

I have not seen the 256 Simpletech SD card in Sam's club. I do, however, like simpletech and use one for my X5. I'm surprised the SD card would only be $50 becuase thats what i paid for my 256 CF card, and usually SD are more.

I have a Lexar. My original was from China, the replacement is from Japan. The new one seems to be working without problems.

IMHO, stay away from SanDisk - get either Kingston or Lexar SD cards and you'll be 100% satisified.

512 MB SD Card?
Does anyone knows 512 mb sd card will work with X3i because Dell only sells maximum 256 mb if you goes directly to Axim x3 accessories?

the Axims do not have limits on the size of memory cards they accept that i am aware of. they certainly accept 512MB.

just make sure you get a good card.

i currently use 512mb sandisk on my x3i. Works great. Used it for 1 month without problems.

I recommend buying it cause it is cheap on ebay and can fit multiple movies (if well compressed) with some left over for music, all without changing sd cards.

The dell problems with sandisk are now over if you are using a newer dell pda.

I've got a 256MB Lexar and other than the fact that it's not actually 256MB (it's 256 million bytes which is about 243MB, as best as I've worked out) it works brilliantly.

they really are tight when it comes to this aren't they... 1MB is 1024KB, 1KB is 1024B, they shouldn't market things as MB when they're clearly not.

So are all SD cards measured like this, or is it just Lexar?

I have a Sandisk 512 ($150 at zipzoomfly.com) and everything has worked fine so far! I've only had it 3 days thus far though.
