Rhinocase and Sync connection
I'm quite dissapointed that with Rhinocase on I cannot connect
my X3 to my computer either using cradle or Sync Travel USB cable.
That sucks!

I agree....

I got to see an X3 Rhinoskin case, and was not impressed at all. It had an overall "cheap" feel to it compared to their X5 cases that I had seen before. And the fact that the sync connector wouldn't fit was very disappointing. Why even have the cutout if the connector won't fit? It seems as if they made the case without having an X3 to test it with.

I just broke out with my Dremel and some small hobby files and the charging connector now fits just fine. Too bad that I had to resort to this, but it was worth it to me.

Just received my case, and as stated the sync fitting doesn't fit. I will modify mine today.

I'm pretty upset. I got mine 2 days ago. I'm using it for now as I want some protection for the X3i, however, I'm going to return it within the 30 days. Anyone know if Rhino is going to re-design these and/or replace the faulty ones?

I am pretty disappointed in the case also -- obviously they did NOT have a production model to work with. I don't have any tools that will help me modify the case BUT a buddy of mine will do it for me free ... otherwise I would return it. The big issue is, of course, being able to hook up the charger plug/adapter while the case is on.

I hope someone comes out with a hard case that will fit the X3 WITH the extended battery attached, also. The stock battery is pretty lame.

Yes! They will replace it with a case that will accomidate the sync cable connector. And they will do it for free. CSR told me that it would take and estimated 4-5 weeks before they have the new cases. This is great example of what customer service should be like.

I just hope they didn't spend money on hard tooling for the case yet.
