X3i replacment batteries
As the title implies where can I find replacement/larger capacity batteries for the X3 (besides Dell).
I have searched the forums but all I see is for the X5.

There are a few on EBay, around 55.00 for the 1800 battery.

Wow! I never noticed those before. Unfortunately, they will ship only to the U.S.

My question is, will they have higher capacity batteries in the regular sized battery format?

Why can't you just buy the battery from Dell directly. That's the only place I would buy a battery for my X3i from.

I think price is probably the biggest reason.

Dream, the chances of a higher capacity battery in the slim case as the original is almost impossible.

well, after5pm.com offers 2000mah batteries in the same form factor as the X5 1440mah standard battery.

Wow, great discussion, thanks all.

Yes, I would like it cheaper than Dell sells it and ideally I would like greater than 1800, I guess I will be patient as someone will make one.
Ciao

Everytime someone says they got a higher capacity in the same size as the original, it turns out to be false advertising. Maybe it is possible, and if it were the companies like Dell would snatch them up before putting the oversized 1800 on the back of the slim X3.

I doubt any company would be able to get more than 1000 or maybe 1100 mAh in the same size as the standard Dell battery. This would be a slight improvement if a company made it, but nothing nearly as drastic as getting the 1800mAh extended battery.

i'm pretty sure that after5pm.net's 2000mah battery is the real deal....

http://after5pm.net/Merchant2/mercha...egory_Code=PDA

the dimensions they provide match my X5's 1440mah battery. it's certainly possible that they're lying, but i'd think someone would have reported it by now...

Yes, the 2000mAh for the Axim X5 is the real deal. It is the same size as the standard 1440mAh Dell battery. And gets a longer battery life, so I know that it is a higher capacity.
