X3 Headphone jack

Do I have to get a special type of headphones for my X3? My normal headphones dont seam to fit in the jack, however I have read other threads taking about buying regular headphones. Am I missing somthing here?

Are you plugging them in the right place? Is the plug on your head phones too big or too small?

There may be some confusion about what "regular" means.

To most, "regular" means the 3.5mm plugs that most headphones have. However, technically these are mini plugs. Technically, "regular" plugs are 6.35mm (1/4") in diameter, which would definitely not fit in the X3.

The jack on my Ax is too small for the headphones I use with my DiscMan. Would those be miniplugs or regular plugs. Please forgive my ignorance

I don't know what could be the problem... both your DiscMan and the X3 have the same size jacks. At least, I seriously doubt the jack on the DiscMan is the 1/4"

Do you both have the X5? My friend has the X5 and the his jack appears to be larger than mine is.

No, not at all. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we enjoy figuring things out, even if in the end the solution is simple.
