Hard case, opend at the top

Hi everyone!

Im just looking out for another case for my X3i and i think a hard case would be the "best looking" and slimmest (and my prefered) option (okok..not so good at shook protection...) , the other is a leather case.

I've noticed that (rhinoskin) hardcases are opened at the side, which doubles the pda's "wide" and i think it's uncomfortable to hold in opened position.

The leather cases often are opened at the top, and this is what im looking for...with a hard case!

Has anyone information (if available) where such cases can be bought?

Thanks a lot!

Werner

various cases

Well, I had various opinions about cases for my Axim too. I thought I wanted a leather case, because I love leather.

When I saw the aluminum cases, I didn't like them because they opened on the right side. I thought that would get in the way.

My wife on the other hand wanted an aluminum one. I ordered her the Innopocket case for her PDA, and I have to admit, it kicks butt.

I thought the right-side opening would bother me, but I was wrong. I am right-handed, so I hold the PDA with my left hand and stylus the thing with my right. The hinge allows the case to hang well out of the way so as not to be in the way while writing.

I on the other hand am using the Dell leather (snap closure) case that opens on the left, and I HATE it. I like the nifty molded plastic clip that secures the Axim perfectly into the case, but the clip also makes the case so thick that I can't just put it into my jacket pocket. Also, you have to remove the thing to hit the reset button.

I ordered the Sena case, and eventhough it has not come yet, I love it. A friend at work has one for his X5 and it is beautiful. The colors are rich and vibrant, the leather is soft and supple.

If I worried about dropping my PDA, I would get the aluminum case. But I keep mine well protected in my briefcase and then I take it out when I am at home or at the office. So I prefer the feel and look (and I admit...the smell) of leather.

Call me veign, but I ordered the case to match the 2-tone leather in my car.

huh?

That doesn't make any sense does it? Innopocket case isn't anything like the rhinoskin case.

I will take pictures of my wife's case tomorrow, and put it here so you can see.
