Mad Disappointed with DSI

Hey all,

I just recieved my DSI Hard case for my X3i. It's fairly nice, most of the holes line up, and it fits in there quite snug, so I'm quite happy with it.

What I'm unhappy with. First off, as well as the case, I ordered a Synch and charging cable and the USB Car adaptor, figuring that I could take the USB around to synch it, and then charge it in my car if I ever really need to.

So, it says on the website (and I just double checked) a DELL Axim X3 Synch cable, but the cable I got, will definitely NOT fit an X3i. I believe it is an X5 synch cable.

Of course the worst part is, that the whole order cost me $50USD to ship it here to Canada, and THEN I had to pay another $28 in "brokerage" fees to recieve it.

Checking their website, I can return the cable, but I'll still have to pay to ship it, and pay brokerage fees AGAIN to recieve it. So, if I want the right cable, it'll probably cost me ANOTHER $20, and if I ignore it, I'm stuck with a useless synch cable and car charger that cost me $20.

Anyways, I'll try to get in touch with their customer service tomorrow (it's too late now), but I bet I'll be stuck with it.

I was going to go with the Rhinoskin, but went with DSI because I thought it would be "cheaper". Opps!

I have a friend with an X5, maybe he'll buy it off of me.

Anyways, just a warning to you all out there, ESPECIALLY to those of you who order from Canada/internationally. Maybe think about ordering elsewhere.

Thanks,

Brian

You could always sell the cable/charger here or on eBay, that's what I did when I accidentally (my mistake, not the vendors) ordered a X3i cable for my X5 - shame, I already sold it or we could have helped each other out! :)

If it is the vendor's mistake, I would hope that they sort it out for you and bear the costs themselves. Any reasonable vendor would (should?) do so.

Good luck
