Would probably be less painfull to get a GPS
unit that connects via the bottom port of your Axim.
I am un aware of a method to connect a harddrive there.
Another option .... I DO NOT know if this will work or not,
but it theory it should. also this method is probably pretty
painfull too.
You could setup a laptop with wifi and connect to it with
your X3i Wifi and map a drive from your laptop to your X3i.
Granted running all units on wifi will drain battery like crazy,
so if your in a car and running off the car power, this could
be bad for the car ? ...
Last but not least you could move to Japan and buy
a Bluetooth harddrive :-) (as far as I know they
are not being produced in USA, probably not even
in production in japan yet...)
