X30 Serial Cable
I have an X-30 high for which I just aquired a serial cable from SupplyNet.
I am trying to use the cable in conjunction with a HyperTerminal program (Ruksun Term Force or Xylon) to monitor the NMEA data being transmitted on the NMEA lines from GPS, Depth Sounder, Radar etc. on boats.

I can not get to date to display on the X-30.
Is there somewhere in the X-30 that I need to configure the Com1: port?

Am I missing something important?

Serial Cable Resolution
I solved my own problem with regard to the issue I raised regarding connecting my serial cable from SupplyNet to my Axim X-30 High and seeing serial data using either Ruksun Term or vxHpc from Cambridge.
The problem was that I did not have 12 volts being supplied to the power cable supplied with the serial cable from SupplyNet.
Once I established the 12 volts to the cable I began getting valid NMEA (GPS) data through the serial port (Com1 using both terminal programs (RuKsun Term and vxHpc)

Just thought I would let you all know.

You do have a serial port on the X-30!!!!

The Requirement for 12 Volts takes away a major advantage of using an AXIM. An Ideal solution for me would be to find a software hardware package that would contain a configurabeble blue tooth modem that would hook up to the external serial port. and software that my Axim could access the serial port. Maybe someday ...
