Panasonic SD card power consumption

wussup guys, well i jsut went to frys and bought the Panasonic 256mb sd card for $65 with a $25 rebate. popped it inside the x30 mid and benchmarked the power consumption. i noticed by checking the power bar that in 30min the x30 with the panasonic takes up 4% of the battery life, thats a lot. it used to be 1-2% per hour. has anyone noticed battery life disapearing faster with a sd card. well logically this is suppose to happen since the sd card has its own voltage level and is dependet on the pda for power supply. but it seems to suck out a lot compared to other pdas.

(this was tested with the sd card inside and the unit on sleep mode with out being used)

Have you turned off the wifi and bluetooth before evaluating the power consumption? I don't think it's much of an issue since you need the storage. Your $65 price must have included the tax.

edited - Just reread and noticed you said sleep mode.
