SD or MMC
While I wait for my Axim X30 High, (August Delivery date...ugh), I am trying to figure out what to buy for my offline storage.

I want fast, cheap, reliable. (I know, I should wake up soon...)

What direction should I go? What have you good folks experienced with your purchases?

Thank in advanced!!!

Jay

SD and MMC will both fit, but SD seems to be the most readily available.

I have heard that SANDISk is real slow on writing when having files written to it. What companies have faster cards? Will I pay a premium for the higher speed?

Sandisk are aweful. But their new Ultra cards seem to be a bit better. Regardless, I'd avoid them.

There are a new generation of MMC cards coming out too, which might be faster than a fast SD card.

I stick with Lexar and IMHO it's worth an extra 20% for their 32x card over their standard speed card. I wouldn't pay much more than that though.

Thanks for the info. Another thread is saying some of the same things as you.

All information, especially first hand info, is greatly appreciated!
