Different case question
I'm about to get the x30 High and have just found this site, it is outstanding!

I have always carried my Palm in a case in my pocket. I think I would like to put my x30 on my belt since I am in sales and need it all the time during the day.

It doesn't look like there are any good aluminum cases that the belt clip works well on. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? I have read the 7 reviews but need some advice from anyone that has used the belt clips on any of these items.

Thanks!

The x30 comes with a case w/ belt clip...I'd give that a shot before you ran out and bought another case.

Thanks! Has anyone tried using this? With all of the talk of other cases, I just assumed I needed to buy one.

I just talked with my friend at Dell (coporate sales) and his manager told him today that they are getting a lot of the parts in quicker now and the lead time for shipment on the 624's was 12 days and growing shorter, just in case anyone else is about to order.

I use the included case...it is relatively well padded and holds the axim well. Looks nice, too.

Does it have to hang vertically like that or can it be switched to horizontal. My friend that has a iPaq has his sitting horizontally along his belt and it seems to be a better fit for when you sit down.

Thanks

The clip itself only allows for vertical, but you can clip it on a belt loop for horizontal (I've done this).

you can also buy a belt, and cut a slit in it (i have done this) if you dont trust it on your belt loop.

I have also got a generic Rhinoskin case off ebay, and put one of those sticky cellphone belt clips on it, which makes a very nice case.

I held my old Axim X3 like that and ... within a month there was a scratch along time top from when I walked past a brick wall. Also, the stylus has a tendency to fall out when I fit it like that.

??? Mine has never fallen out, nor do I walk into brick walls, though it is my #1 concern...

He must mean horizontal...if he meant the stylus fell out when the pda was upright, he must be some sort of acrobat/gymnist.
