X30 & RS232 connectivity
I think similar postings occur elsewhere on here, but ...

I'd like to use an x30 to configurte a cisco router. I can do this with my ipaq, but would like to get something newer. On the ipaq I run vxHpc and use a cable that connects to the hot sync port and also has an rs232. Dell support says this does not exist, but are they correct? I'd rather not go through buying some modem card, etc. TIA.

x30 connection to cisco router
Is there a way to connect the x30 to a serial console port on a cisco? Basically a program similar to hyperterminal(Win) and a cable that connects to the x30 where the other end is a DB9 serial cable.

TheSupplyNet has an X30 Serial Cable on their website. I have not used this cable, nor do I know if it will work for your purposes. They are a reputable manfuacturer of PPC/phone cables, so you could try to contact them to see if it will work for router configuration. Also, you might try some searches for "supplynet" around here.... chances are that someone else has tried the cable out for this purpose.
