Fast SD Cards
Does the Axim perform better with the faster SD cards (9MB/sec) vs. the standard 2MB/sec? Kingston has a standard 512MB SC card available today for $56 ($10 off + $20 mail in rebate). Go to www.ableshoppers.com for details. Posted on 8/6/04

24va, do you have any experience with that card? I almost bought card off Newegg, but I had a 15 dollar off coupon for buy.com and got the kingston 512 for about 50 bucks after rebate. Hesitated to get that Dane-Elec card cause I haven't heard of the brand, but I'm curious if anyone has any experience with it

I was told it is a re-branded Toshiba card, I have a Toshiba and I like it.

I have a Kingston 256, a 512 is on its way. It works like a charm (after 3 days of constant data corruption that is). It may not be the fastest card in the world, but it really depends on personal preference. I am okay with the speed that it has already, I am not those kind of people who ask for the fastest write speed on a SD card! I mean, it depends on how you want to use the card. In my opinion, a fast SD card is only useful when used with a high resolution digital camera that requires SD. I don't know about you though.
