Linksys Bluetooth USB Adapter
Has anybody bought a Bluetooth USB adapter for their computer to sync with their Axim?

I'm considering buying one, so I'd like to hear any success stories with Bluetooth. My parents won't allow me to set up Wi-Fi, so I'm looking for other low cost alternatives.

Also Circuit City was selling a bluetooth adapter for $50, but again, no distance was mentioned...

I was also wondering if their is a WiFi 802.11b USB plugin or anything of that sort.

go for it
you'll never get disappointed
but...if you have wifi in your home, it may be useless (you can sync with wifi, which has better range and throughput)

With USB you can use either a BT or Wifi device. I have both.

The Axim is a Class II BT device, so even if you use a Class I BT dongle (what I use) you are not going to see range above more than say 10m - 15m.

Oh, wow. So a class II Bluetooth device would yield a higher range of service?

No, a Class one. Re-read the above. I have a Deluo BT GPS receiver, BT Dongle on my laptop (Class 1) and BT X30 (Class 2) and Routis 2004 Nav software. All work together or seperately.
