Oh my! I just got my PF case!
It is absolutely gorgeous! I bought the black and tan, extended battery version. Without an extended battery, its a little lose but not too bad. But I'll get an extended battery before long, so its a good thing I got this one.

It is a higher priced case, but man, its worth every penny! Very high quality, well made, buttery soft leather. I'm so very pleased. I like it much better than the Rhinoskin Aluminum.

I am curious as to the quality of the leather.

I personally like hard leather... perhaps textured.

like.. I have had these wallets.

LV, D & G which both have the harder textured leather, they are great.
I currently use a wallet by Coach, which again, is far from soft.

From examining the pictures in detail, it seems to me that the case is "puffy" with the leather perhaps over stretch? or thin?

so... just to get a point of reference, how would those that have the piel farma and have other good quality wallets compare its leather/quality... I ask this because I persume many ppl are still quite happy with their 20 dollar -40 dollar guess/kenneth cole wallets... which would make its quality comparable to the price range of most pda case...

seems to me the only comparable one are vaja... so... how does Piel Farma stands up not just relative to other cases, but to other leathergoods standards?

Well I can't compare it to Vaja's or Ken Cole's since I don't have any of those. But the quality of leather in the PFs are very good. The leather isn't textured or hard, but soft and sturdy, so it may not be to your liking. The puffiness you refer to is due to padding inside to help protect the pda. The leather isn't stretched, and doesn't feel very thin.

Sorry, but I'm partial to the Aluminum RhinoSkin cases... They are tougher than leather-- literally. I love they way it looks and I LOVE the way it feels. I get WAY more looks of envy and interest with it than with a leather case (everybody and their granmother has a leather case).

I'm happy to read that you enjoy your case so much. I might be persuaded to check it out myself... but as you stated: It's REALLY expensive and I don't know if I want to dump that amount of money in another leather case... but who knows, maybe I can be swayed.

That's why more than one type of case is made. Not everyone likes the same thing. I liked my Rhino when I first got it, but then found I wasn't quite as fond of it after a few days. It was hard for me to hold and a pain to keep taking it out of the case to sync/charge it. Its not a bad case, just didn't work for me.

Well, in the scheme of things, its not really THAT expensive. I found it for $45, and after selling my Rhino for $25, it was only an extra $20. With my little hands, a flip case definitely works better for me. Much easier to hold than a book-style case. And it slips out of the case much easier, too.

My only wish is that I could have had it embossed with my name. That would have been great.

I have rhino and I too find it hard to hold... its like... what do you do with your pinkie!?!?!?!

But since I throw my axim in my bag, aluminum case makes sense... Since they are dumped in the same area as my phone, my digital voice recorder, a spare battery etc it does get scratched up.

Without knowing anything, my preference would also be a flip case rather than the book style.

However, in examining various pictures, it is also clear that the rhinoskin is significantly smaller in dimension than leather case... it is smaller than even the slip case dell ship with.

I really like Vaja... have to think about it. but like stated, Piel Farma is only 40 dollars, 1/2 the price of a vaja and may be worth a try for someone like me who can lean either way... but then throw in the Sena and the decision remains difficult dispite all the reviews we have of the various cases.
