X30 and Wi-Fi+256M SD Card
Hi,
Has anyone tried this product Wi-Fi+Memory SD card (Sandisk Part No: SDWSDB-256-A10M) on Basic Axim X30) Does it work on X30, any problems/issues, Please let me know as I am planning on getting this SD card for my Axim X30(Basic). I like the fact that it has both the Wi-Fi and 256M of memory. It will be awesome if this card is compatible with my X30.

Thanks in advance

This thread needs to be moved over to the X30 forum. This is the DinarSoft products forum.

Wooch,
You posted just as I was getting ready to move it.

naveen,
I haven't personally used the Sandisk sd card but there were major problems with the CF version they released last year with the X5. Several of us on the site avoid Sandisk after the fiasco with their memory cards and the X5. If you wanted WiFi, you'd probably have been better off with the X30 mid or high.

I agree w/ Ike. I have a SanDisk 256 MB card, and it is the slowest card I've evef seen. The built-in wireless is the best way to go

That's OK, I'm not complaining about the speed, I shoulh heeded the advice of others before purchasing SanDisk. Anyhow, I'm going to do my homework before my 512 MB card purchase!!

Yikes! I just got a 512 SanDisk. What does that mean? Will it move uber slow now? I feel bad selling it to someone else. What do you recommend buying?

I'm either going to go Kingston, or another brand that has the 9 MB/ transfer rate. I've heard good things about kingston, and I'm going to pay close attention to the transfer speeds. I looked up my model, and interestingly enough, they don't post transfer speeds!. Anyhow, my card works fine, and I have no problems with it, it is just pretty slow. and no, your Axim won't slow down because of the card . . .
