I can't figure this GPS X30H!!
I just went on a trip with a 16 hour drive and the guy i drove with was running his Treo with Mapopolis and i loved it. I decided to get a GPS for my new Axim X30 H. My problem is in finding the right setup. I'm looking for a serial GPS that will charge my Axim and run the GPS receiver at the same time. If i could find a cheap enough solution i would do Bluetooth but i dont mind the cables and would rather have one less technology to work with. Plus, i'd like to run a BT headset for the voiceprompts and not have to worry about two connections. I'm trying to run the serial GPS receiver and either Mapopolis or POCKETMAP Navigator. You guys have always been very helpful any advice would be extremely appreciated.

If you decide to go with bluetooth you can get the Belkin GPS unit at belkin.com for $140. It works great and has XTRAC technology (works under tree cover/parking garages and mine even works indoors once it has a satellite lock).

These are the sites I used to find GPS info:

For versatility I like the Hi-303s. If you are looking for something a little cheaper the Hi-204S works fine, it’s the unit that I am currently using and I have had zero issues.

The Dell Bluetooth GPS kit for the Axim X5/X30 is going for $224.10 right now (last day of 10% discount).
It has a "Y" adapter for the car charger which charges the GPS and the Axim.
It also includes a mounting arm for the Axim.

Sorry about that - you need to use code 82242 when you get to your shopping cart. Put it in the 'redeem coupon' spot. The price will then change to $140.

I received mine in less than one week after ordering.
