Kingston 512 MB Secure Digital Card
Been using it now for about a week. Works great! I just need to buy something to transfer the files faster. The USB connection I have, just isn't speedy enough!

Any good SD writer/readers out there that can accomplish the task much faster?

TIA!

Any card reader that can hold an sd will be faster. If you want something portable, try the Lexar Jumpdrive Trio or Sandisk Cruzer (note: Sandisk calls their flash drives 'Cruzer,' too, so be sure you get the one that uses sd cards as the memory).

I just bought my second Dana Elec. 512 card from newegg for $67. I plan on buying a multi-card reader for my pc for just this reason. The USB connection is too slow. I like to move MP3 files alot. Using a reader on a PC is the only way to go. I'm shopping now. Again, a Multi-card reader is what I'm looking for - I know they are available. I will cheak newegg tonight.

Just bought a multi-card reader from newegg. Kind of expensive (not the usual free shipping), but I've used sandisk readers before. They always work. Forums indicate problems with other cheap readers. Best and fastest way to get lots of data into the X30.

Want to buy the Kodak 6 in 1. My friend has it, it's fast (usb 2.0) it's compact (the wire can wrap around the unit so it hides itself) and it's pretty cheap. I want to buy it from walmart, it's 20 bucks there, but out of stock.

Guess I'm the only one with this: http://www.svc.com/f404m-bge-93.html It's a 6-in-1 media reader, as well as a floppy drive. Everything you could ever need at a fraction of those media reader costs. Highly recommended

That's pretty slick! I've been looking at internal ones, and this would really fit the bill.

Edited to add: that's cheaper than any place on pricewatch, too.

I use a Jumpdrive Trio and I can highly recommend it, for me its key advantage is portability and cost, but if you are looking for a built in solution the Mitsumi looks good, I have one of there FDD and its been excellent. For anyone in the UK the 7 in 1 drive is available from Ebuyer:

I purchased a SanDisk USB reader for $8 from Best Buy. It only reads the secure disk not a multi reader. I have a Kingston Card and SanDisk card they both work great on it. Pretty fast file transfer. It's called SecureMate Model Number SDDR-33 by SanDisk.
