Need suggestion for a case- Upgraded from X5 and always used Dell slip case- Loved it
Hi, I am looking for suggestions for a case I might like for an X30. I upgraded from an X5 Advanced and I always used the stock "slip case" that came with the axim and liked it fine, because I prefer to use the Axim "naked" and just need a case to protect it in my bag and possibly hold an extra battery (like the one for the X5 did. I believe I have seen one of the new Axim "slip cases" for the X30s and it did not protect the sides of the Axim (I could be mistaken). Can someone please let me know what the stock case for the X30 is like and if I will like it based on me liking the one for the X5 and, if not, suggest another case?

Sena Cases are great. I have one for my old X5 and decided to buy another for my X30. Great cases IMHO

I took some pics for you of my X30 with extended battery in it's slip case. Bear in mind this is with the extended battery:

Thanks for the pics, TV Pro, but wouldn't you be afraid of tossing the Axim in that case into a bag with other stuff? Since the sides and top are open it could get scratched by keys or something, couldn't it?

Really nice pics though, thanks

I have been looking at lots of cases, and the Grinder Gear "Expedition" looks pretty good to me. Grinder Gear cases got five stars when reviewed on Aximsite, so that is a plus as well. From the looks of it, I might be able to get the Axim, the foldable keyboard, an extra battery or two and some SD cards in there, which I would really like, because I love having everything all together.

Here is the link to the case I am considering:
http://www.grindergear.com/expedition.html

Does anyone have this case? I would be interested to hear how you like it. So far it is the closest to perfect that I have seen.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the Grinder Gear "Expedition" case in black. I know I will love it. I found some other reviews online and am pretty sure it is the case for me. It is fairly pricey, even though I filled out the customer survey and got 5% off, but I think it will be worth it to be able to protect my Axim and all of the associated accesories I need to carry with it.

Perhaps you could write up a review on it once you've used it for a while. It's certainly unlike any of the other cases that have already been reviewed here.

Oh, BTW: Great avatar!

I will definitely post to review it after I receive it. It looks really neat.

And thanks, I admire your Avatar as well.
