I've found a source for cheap cases that fit X30s: GameBoy 'shuttles' (cases).

I picked one up for $5 CDN at HMV.

Reasonable protection (including antenna), hooks securely to my belt (nylon strap snaps down) .

Doesn't look super-geeky hanging off my shorts or jeans.

Only down side is it took a little practice to get my X30 out...the fit is fairly snug, but it can be pushed up from the bottom. (And, yes, there's enough give that an extended battery should fit!)

They had them in cardboard bins in a couple of places in the store, nothing saying "Sale" or "Clearance". I think CaseLogic's MSRP is about $10US, which is still pretty good, and is usually higher than store prices.

And don't forget: no shipping if you buy at a store, and you can take your Ax and try before you buy.
