Shure e2c headphones
Question for y'all--anybody have an opinion on the Shure e2 earbud headphones? I tried 'em out today at a musician's store and they sounded pretty darn good. Specs seem great as well, but $90? ...Are they worth it?

Also, what does the E3 model offer that separates it from the E2?

Thanks!
-Jeff

I dont know much about them, they've got the best ratings, but I'm not going to spend that much on a pair of ear buds...Thats IMO, of course

Just my $.02,

i'm not just talking about for my Axim--I'm picky on my music--I rip mp3's at 320kbs on my computer and will also use these as a monitor for my guitar when I play--so I can justify $90.

I'm just wondering if I should just get the E3's instead?

Need help!

My understanding is that for portable players, the e2c's are better than the e3c's. I remember reading that on www.head-fi.org. I haven't owned a pair, but there are MANY people there that have. Just give the Shures a search and I am sure you will get much to read there. Apparently at Guitar Center or something, you can ask them to go lower and you can pick them up for ~$70.

I am picky on music too. $90 is nothing for a good pair of phones if you can swing it. Are you thinking about getting a headphone amp too?

i bought a pair of shure, the next model up, about $180 but i work at the a store that sells them so i got them for $130, and daaaayyyyaaam they are really good, noise cancellation, they fit so well that the wont come off even if you jog with them. also they come with a very nice protective case, a pretty big gauge for the wiring insuring you good quality, and yes there is quality bass

just wanted to offer an update...purchased the e2's and I love 'em. As I've said before, I rip my cd's to mp3's at the 320kbs audio quality which is as high as you can rip (my sizable 60GB Dell Inspiron 300m notebook allows me this luxury) so I can only fit about 25-30 mp3's on my 256SD card, but with this setting and my e2's the sound is superb. It's clean and crisp...you are isolated with your music, which allows for a great surround effect. Loud enough? Definitely!

I've heard the e3's sound even better, but at under $100, the e2's are perfect for me...I highly recommend.
