A few questions about X3 cases
Hello,

I have just purchased, but have yet to receive, my Dell X30 Mid-range, so please forgive my ignorance.

The Axim ships with a leather case, doesn't it? What kind of case is it (flip-top, etc.)? The pictures on the Dell website lead me to believe that you have to take the PDA out of the case to use it. Am I right?

My second question is about the rhino aluminum case. I know the case "door" swings open from left to right like a book, but does it completely swing behind the Axim, or does the door just kind of hang open? If the later is true, how comfortable do you find it to hold and use?

Thanks in advance for answering my questions guys. I'mj so excited about getting this thing I can barely bare it!

Congratulations on your purchase. Welcome to aximsite!

The Dell case which comes with the Ax is open at the top. The Ax just slides into and out of the case.
Not a flip top.

The rhinoskin does open like a book. It does not fold behind the case. I personally don't care for it much. It is a strong protective case and looks good but I don't like the feel of it in my hand. There are many though who do love these cases. Really up to you.

p.s., If you haven't seen this section of the site it offers good tips and a nice case comparison:

I haven't seen that section yet. Thanks for the link! I didn't realize there was a need for antivirus software on the Pocket PC. I don't think I've ever heard of a virus targeting PPC, and I read /. everyday!
